(via Brand New) Starbucks has rebranded itself. I have to say I never really enjoyed their old logo. It’s simplicity was unremarkable, and the green kind of got on my nerves.
Found this blog on Smashing Magazine’s post on footers. Screw footers, this site is beautiful. Can’t read a word of it though.
Huge fan of Chipotle. Their food is fantastic, and their prices are spectacular. But their website trumps both of those qualities. It’s well thought out and quite fun. A good example of what can be done to make a company’s website mimic their existing atmosphere.
So, I was reading my feeds today, and saw a bookmark by Jason Santa Maria announcing that the UK recently (I think) released the designs of their next wave of legal tender. The designs were chosen by way of a contest, whose winner was Matthew Dent, a 26-year-old designer originally from Bangor. The coins are brilliant. Six of the seven coin denominations come together to depict the Royal Arms, while the seventh shows the full heraldry.
